International standard | ISO 20000 has been officially released "with key changes"

Under the general trend of Internet, information technology plays an important role. ISO 20000 information technology service management system is an international standard for information technology industry. Assist enterprises to form standardized operation and standardized management mode.
ISO/IEC 20000-1 was updated in September this year
It has been seven years since ISO/IEC 20000-1:2011 last reviewed and revised the standard. The new version of the standard was released on September 15, 2018, and the transition period is three years after the release of the standard.
After the end of the transfer period, the certification according to the ISO/IEC 20000-1:2011 standard will be cancelled or revoked, which means that the approved enterprises need to complete the review before September 15, 2021.
The change direction and higher-order structure of the new ISO/IEC 20000-1:2008 are consistent with the common core text and definitions adopted by other new ISO management system standards, such as ISO 9001:2015 and ISO/IEC 27001:2013.

    Key changes to ISO/IEC 20000-1:218
    Integration with management system
The content of the ISO/IEC 20000-1:218 standard USES a high order structure (HLS) and introduces new requirements that are the same as those used in other popular management system standards such as ISO/IEC 22301:2012, ISO/IEC 27001:2013, ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015. The "13 processes" in the IT services management model are now extended (and modified) in chapter 8 of ISO/IEC 20000-1. At the same time, the standard introduces new common core requirements, such as "organizational environment" and "risk and opportunity".
    Changes in terms and definitions
Some terms have been changed to conform to the attached SL core text and common definitions:
    · "service provider" is replaced by "organization"
    · "internal organization" is replaced by "internal supplier", while "supplier" is replaced by "external supplier"
   · "information security" is in compliance with ISO/IEC 27000. The term "availability" has since been replaced by "service availability" to distinguish it from the term "availability" now used in the revised definition of "information security".
Minimizing the documentation information required
Reduced the amount of documentation required.
    · documented availability and capacity plans are no longer mandatory, but are replaced by requirements for planning service availability and capacity.
    · configuration management databases (CMDB) are replaced by requirements for configuration information.
    · release policy policies are replaced by requirements for defining the type and frequency of releases.
   · continuous improvement policy strategies are replaced with requirements for evaluation criteria to identify improvement opportunities.
Adjusted the order of the terms
Items that were previously grouped together are now separated, such as events and service requests, service availability, and service continuity.
A more comprehensive IT services perspective
Introduced the concept of service portfolio management throughout the service life cycle. Service composition is the sum of all service records. Lists each service and its current state and history. Service composition may include service channels, service directories, and deactivated services. Of these, only the service catalog is available to customers.
    Add new requirements
Knowledge management, asset management, demand management
